On July 23, Doosan Bobcat posted preliminary Q2 2026 results of $1.63 billion USD in revenue and $195 million in operating profit.

Revenue increased 4.1% year over year, and operating profit rose 34% over the same period, supported by the impact of tariff refunds, resulting in an operating profit margin of 11.9%. Net income increased 53.9%, reflecting higher operating profit and reduced financial expenses.

By product segment, revenue from Compact Equipment and Material Handling increased 4% and 2% year over year, respectively. Portable Power recorded significant growth from the previous quarter and recovered to the prior-year level.

By region, revenue increased 3% year over year in North America, driven by commercial actions and higher material handling sales. Revenue in Europe, the Middle East and Africa grew 10%, supported by recovering demand for compact equipment and favorable foreign exchange effects. In Asia, Latin America and Oceania, revenue declined 8%, as weak material handling sales offset solid sales in South America, Oceania and India.

AI Partnership

Earlier in the summer, Doosan Bobcat announced it entered into a memorandum of understanding with MAUM.AI, an AI solutions company, to collaborate on the development of autonomous technologies for construction equipment.

This collaboration supports Doosan Bobcat’s physical AI initiatives in the construction equipment sector. Doosan Bobcat will provide compact construction equipment products and data, while MAUM.AI will explore the application of AI-driven autonomous task capabilities based on Vision-Language-Action models. The companies plan to jointly validate feasibility and advance proof-of-concept testing for autonomous task technologies.

The company said it has continued to build the core technologies and data needed to advance autonomous work and unmanned solutions, including radar, equipment automation, perception and decision-making. Notable partnerships include U.S.-based companies such as Ainstein, a radar specialty company; Greenzie, a commercial lawn mower autonomous software company; Agtonomy, an agtech software company; and Civ Robotics, an autonomous surveying vehicle company.
